[TZ’IKIN JAAY] SANTIAGO ATITLÁN

We have taken our inspiration back to where we were born — Guatemala. With the heart of our brand and project based in Santiago Atitlán, also known as TZ’IKIN JAAY in the native language Tz’utujil, we wanted this to echo in our creative expression.

Tz’ikin Jaay means ‘Home of the Birds’ and refers to the traditional dress of the local Mayan Tz’utujil people adorned abundantly with birds and flowers.

The inspiration for this season's design has been found in searching through the endless textiles worn and made by our team, to tell the story of these worlds that our designs connect.

We have loved looking for inspiration closer to home and we hope you will love our first interpretation of TZ’IKIN JAAY <3
