Our fruity jewelry — we have to dedicate a whole story to this because we became a fruity brand without it ever being an intention. So here is a little (love) story about our fruity jewelry that has become a staple to us.

After a year or so of working together, we were getting the feedback from our retail partners that they wished we had something at a lower price point. So the sexy story of what instigated our fruit designs was the market. 

The question that followed this was - what can we create in beads that is smaller and has a lower price point? Inspiration can come from many (un-creative haha) places. Asking the higher gods and opening our minds to what could be, arose the fruits. Obviously Guatemala is colorful and the market days are full of the most lush and delicious fruits and from one of our many market runs, occurred the idea to wear a strawberry as an earring. Not just in a keychain as you had seen. And so the first fruit was made in 2018! And it set us off on a whole new trajectory! 

Those first fruits opened up a whole world of creativity for us - we worked hard on nailing the shape and colors, sourcing special Japanese beads and challenging the idea of how many (and how big) fruits you can wear around your head. And since those first designs in 2018 - our fruits have been loved by so many and copied by more. It’s a compliment right?

We are proud to say that we came up with our own secret recipes for the designs that Julía keeps in her cookbook. It is not just a trend for us, it has become an essential part of what we do and how we design - basing everything in the difficult artisanal techniques and having fun at the same time. Some things become trends and so did the fruits, but we are not just here for it to be over in a second, we simply can’t afford this and the love story of our creations is too solid for us to just waver <3
