We are like a small family and do our best to combine being a hardworking team and enjoy quality time together.

Pura Utz is the result of strong friendship, shared dreams and desire to make a difference through a wholesome business.

We are not in business to have our team sit and create artisan goods for the rest of their lives (unless they want to:). We hope to be a stepping stone that gives them a healthy workspace that is free from discrimination and provides a great salary that enables them to move on and forward in life with even more self-esteem. 

The sidekick of all this is a cute and durable product that the world loves for the relevance, history and values it represents.

Our team has grown to twenty women and men — sixteen of whom, work fulltime from our workshop in Guatemala. The rest work from home due to household responsibilities.
